At your 1 year old check up, you were:
weight: 19 lb, 8 oz (25th %-ile)
height: 29 in (50th %-ile)
You didn't get shots at this visit because you have a nasty cold and a double ear infection. You are fighting this cold like a trooper though and other than the constant runny nose and battle to get your nose wiped, you wouldn't know you are sick!
Here's what you are doing:
~food: still loving to nurse and you are becoming quite persistent when you want to do so, regardless of the time or place! Your sign to me is you pick at my moles on my neck (gross, i know!) or simply say "mama milk". You are completely off the bottle now and drink from big-girl sippy cups with your snacks and meals. You still nurse in the morning before school, have 5-6 oz milk with cereal and cheerios around 9 for morning snack, nurse at lunch which is followed by 2-3 oz milk and lunch (chicken, carrots, bread, and some baby food of meat), 6 oz milk with afternoon snack (animal crackers, cheerios, etc), nurse at 5:30 when we are home from work/school, 4-5 oz milk with dinner and then nurse at bed! That's a lot of milk big girl! You love to eat grilled chicken, steak, hamburger, potatoes, green beans, the occasional peas, corn, carrots, and of course bread. You still do not like fruit at all, no matter how much we try it with you! You are not so much into sweet tasting things, which i guess is good! We still have not given you any juice and don't think i will for a while, there is no need! You are quite independent and like to feed yourself and are learning to use a spoon. When we eat, you insist on watching your "pictures" on the digital picture frame by your highchair! As far as teeth, you have the top and bottom two, and are cutting about 4 more right now!
Sleep: Sleeping great at night, from 8:30ish-6:45 when I wake you for school, or until 7:30ish if we don't have to be up and gone. Normally we don't hear a peep from you! At school, you nap decent, anywhere from 45min-1.5 hrs in the morning and usually about an hour in the afternoon. At home, you nap great! Usually I can plan on a 2 hour nap around 10:30 and then another 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon!
Activity: What are you not doing is the question! You are all over the place and we joke that the Brooke Tornado has hit whenever you are up! You love to pull out every single book and toy and make a mess! You pull towels off the oven door, all your tupperware out of the drawer, magnets off the fridge...you are a busy bee! You are walking all over the place now and almost starting to run a little! You love to jump on mommy's back and hear me say "there's a monkey on my back." You laugh hysterically every time! You love peek-a-boo with anyone who will play with you too! You are very smart and are learning so much, including the fact that after every picture I take, you run to see the image on the screen! You have become obsessed with Baby Einstein numbers video and will try to open my laptop to watch it and will whine and cry begging for it. When I finally give in, you sit in your new pottery barn "Brooke" chair and sit and watch it. You will smile and laugh when your favorite characters appear! ;)

How are you already a year old my sweet B?! Can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us!
